Hi — I’m Julie Reali.
A French director working between Paris and New York since 2022, with a background shaped as much by movement and music as by systems and structure.
Before stepping behind the camera, I worked at the intersection of tech, innovation, and strategy — across Seoul, Beijing, and New York. That world taught me how to build frameworks and navigate complexity. But what stayed wasn’t the logic — it was what logic couldn’t hold. Rhythm. Emotion. Memory.
That tension — between what can be mapped and what can only be felt — still guides everything I do, with one major question in mind: what is it to be human?
My practice moves fluidly between film, photography, and immersive formats, shaped by both instinct and design. I always seek the point where structure gives way to release, whether through live-action, AI, or CGI.
It’s a search that continued in Bloom, a 2024 large-scale experiential project at Rockefeller Center, where I designed three immersive digital installations merging 3D art, AI, spatial design, and performance into a shared emotional landscape.
So — what is it to be human?
Let’s explore it together.
Julie
